Hot Springs Clean-Up

Jungle warfare—warfare with the jungle, that is,
makes for a cleaner, hotter hot spring

An arduous reclaiming of the drainage canal by the cleanup crew...

...yields impressive results

Greetings from the Bleeding Edge of the Apocalypse

If you stay in the desert long enough,
you start to become one with it.

This beautiful palo verde died from disrespect.

Doc's place at 420 Low Road

A couple shots of the home of Slab City Free Radio:

And the incredible sunsets just keep on coming.

Slab City Fall 2015

Slab City endures. All the things that make it
"The Last Free Place in America" are still here.

The effluvia of abandoned homesites.

The sense of danger.

Post apocalyptic lifestyle in a pre apocalyptic world.

Artistic expression. Some radical...

...some beautiful.

Salvation Mountain still stands, although the
fight against entropy remains a challenge.

Saturday night at the Range is still a party.

And the stark, timeless beauty of the Colorado desert.

Not to mention successful, off-the-grid living.

The Mojave Desert

This is what the landscape is like between Joshua Tree and Las Vegas.

Stark and beautiful.

Kinda makes people want to go really fast.

This is a different kind of solar farm.
It looks like it's using a field of mirrors
to focus sunlight on towers in the center.
