Anza Borrego
Anza Borrego is a beautiful area in
the California desert. Here's Butch,
our guide. He took Evan and me on
the slot canyon tour.
Wind caves.
Hundreds of giant, welded steel creatures.
On the second tour, Butch took Linda and me
to the oasis, a startling contrast to the desert.
A fiddlehead, the begining of the desert bloom
We were lucky enough to see a herd of
longhorn sheep. Their coloring is so close
to that of the rocks you can't see them
from a distance if they don't move.
Farewell Bus Mikey
Mike "Pretty Bus Mikey" Died in March
He was my neighbor in Slab City and a beautiful
human being. He died from sepsis after a
Hip replacement. I'll miss him.
Here's the bus he was famous for. Here
at the Niland Tomato Festival in 2013.
